About me

My practice
I work with people who are experiencing a range of life challenges, including grief and loss, living with or caring for someone with a chronic physical or mental illness, and struggling with life transitions. You might be wanting to explore changes in your career or your relationships, contemplating parenthood or retirement, or just wanting a different way of being. Maybe you're feeling isolated, overwhelmed and burned out, or your coping strategies are no longer serving you. Or you may be on a journey of discovery and personal growth, and you want a trusted, non-judgemental witness to accompany you.

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with a specialist interest in grief and bereavement across the lifespan, including pregnancy loss, relationship and family loss, and supporting people with end-of-life decisions. I have experience managing the demands of parenting and the evolving nature of relationships, including supporting transgender people and their partners. I work in a person-centred and strengths-based way that focuses on building resilience, deepening insight, and recognising the origins of emotions and behaviours that are no longer useful to you. I use a range of therapeutic approaches including cognitive reframing, narrative therapies and values-based approaches that focus on meaning reconstruction, particularly after loss.

I offer a supportive and compassionate environment to help you to make sense of what is happening in your life, and provide a space for you to build a fulfilling, sustainable and joyful future. I am committed to working collaboratively with you to help you overcome obstacles, foster meaning and purpose, and achieve your goals. Before retraining as a psychotherapist and grief counsellor, I worked in policy development and leadership roles in health for more than 20 years, including in the cancer services sector. I am also an experienced executive coach and mentor, and I can help you navigate your inner and outer worlds with courage and hope.
