* Certified Practicing PACFA members have studied at AQF Level 7 (Bachelor degree) or above, with a minimum of 400 hours instruction in counselling or psychotherapy subjects, plus have a minimum of 40 hours client contact, and 10 hours of supervision.

About me

My practice
I’m Claire Welch, a counsellor offering online counselling for individuals and couples across New Zealand and Australia, with in-person counselling also available on the Hibiscus Coast.

I believe we all carry our own inner wisdom and a real ability to heal. My job is to walk with you while you find it.

I came to this work through my own experience of hard times and healing, and that shapes how I sit with people. I don’t position myself as the expert with all the answers, instead it’s us figuring it out together.

I’m also a wife and a mum to three teenagers, so I know how full and tiring life can get.

I offer a space where you can be yourself, met with curiosity, acceptance and care, and be supported to move through whatever feels stuck.
