About me

My practice
Fr Nicholas Pearce was ordained to the priesthood at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne, in 2010. Since ordination, he has served in numerous parishes and ministries across Melbourne.
In 2020, Fr Nicholas completed a Master of Psychology at Divine Mercy University, a Catholic graduate university specialising in psychology and counselling. His research explored the use of positive psychological interventions in the prevention and treatment of problematic pornography use.
He subsequently undertook a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Divine Mercy University, completing his clinical placement with CatholicCare Victoria.
Fr Nicholas’ areas of interest include the intersection of faith and mental health, as well as supporting individuals experiencing addictive and other compulsive behaviours. He is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist – Candidate (CSAT-C) and works from a strengths-based, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) informed approach.
In 2025, Fr Nicholas commenced his PhD studies at the University of Notre Dame Australia, focusing on fostering positive mental health and wellbeing among Catholic clergy.
