About me

My practice
I have been working as a Psychoanalytic psychotherapist and counselor in private practice for over 17 years. I work with individuals and couples.

I am interested in listening to, wondering and thinking with people in such a way that they /you might come to get to know and understand yourself and your life from new and different perspectives.

The experience of being listened to, feeling heard by me and thinking together about the issues and problems you are struggling with, provides a space to come to know yourself and perhaps to hear from yourself in fresh ways.

Dreams are an important aspect of the therapy process. Not being able to remember your dreams can also be a valuable element to explore and to get to know more about. Our ‘night time dream life’ landscape can be considered as often unthought and unknown elements, previously unspoken , yet worded and imaged in different ways than ‘day life’.

Until recently, I also was a lecturer at ECU. I taught a unit in the undergraduate Psychotherapy and Counseling programme, for seven years. This role enabled me to explore in larger group settings the complex and wide ranging experiences of being human. It is a significant part of developing myself personally and professionally.

Some of my interests include group work, writing, art, music, different spiritual traditions and our shared human.condition.
