In recent years, there has been increased awareness of the importance of the gut and its impact on the immune system and on cognition and mood. There are dramatic changes in disease incidence and indeed  increases in anxiety, learning difficulties and food allergy. Could gut function and diet changes be a factor ?

This presentation will look at the importance of healthy gut and how that influences the immune system and neurotransmitter production. The importance of specific nutrients, the gut microbiome with a focus on overgrowth and undergrowth of particular bacteria and yeasts.
