Academic peer reviewers needed for PACJA

The Psychotherapy and Counselling Journal of Australia (PACJA) is looking for academic peer reviewers.

Reviewers play a key role in ensuring PACJA maintains a high level of consistency and clarity across all articles, and in providing a supportive experience for authors whilst upholding the rigorous peer review process.

Read the reviewer guidelines for further details on PACJA’s academic peer review process.

Who can register as an academic peer reviewer?

PACJA is seeking expressions of interest from experienced researchers and/or practitioners in any area related to psychotherapy, counselling, and Indigenous Healing Practices.

PACJA is also seeking expressions of interest from people with lived experiences of exclusion, marginalisation, and/or oppression. As a journal with anti-oppressive priorities, PACJA is committed to making sure researchers do not write ‘about you without you.’ For this reason, where possible within logistical constraints, PACJA strives to have at least one peer reviewer with direct personal lived experience of the area covered in the article submissions where applicable.

Register your interest in becoming a reviewer

Email PACJA Editor Jane Marsden ([email protected]) details about your relevant qualifications, experience, and areas of interest. You may be asked some demographic questions designed to ensure a sufficiently diverse reviewer community and identify gaps in the existing reviewer community.

Read about the aims, scope, and priorities of PACJA. All reviewer registrations are subject to approval and require agreement to reviewer conduct consistent with the standards and scope of our journal.

You will be advised of the outcome after your details have been considered by the Editor and approved by the Editor and/or by a member of the Editorial Board.
